We are BIM capable and are able to produce your scheme in a BIM environment to fit in with your existing organisational project structure.

Can a historic building be a green building? 

The retention and sensitive retrofit of historic buildings has an important role to play in the fight against climate change. There are many ways we can improve energy efficiency and performance of historic buildings that work with traditional fabric and will not harm their special character. 

 

Retrofitting (when we modifying heritage buildings with more modern systems) must aim to balance the needs and attributes of the building with the requirement for performance. 

Any retrofit must ensure that the building is enjoyable and comfortable to live or work in and not devalue what makes it special. 

 

 We believe that historical context, environmental efficiency and budget should all inform good design, and work with you to achieve that.

Managing costs and timelines...we follow a process!

The architectural design journey can feel like a long and complicated one but it can be a transparent one. 

As a practice we follow the RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) Plan Of Work.
